If you obtained a TCFP course completion certificate from TEEX indicating that your course was completed within the past 2 years, you may not have to take the commission's exam.
It is important to note that the certificate of completion must have the TEEX pro board seal number and the TCFP Training Prior Approval (TPA) number printed on the certificate in order to comply with §439.1 (2).
Add this certificate to your FIDO account by uploading a copy of each to the Submissions page, Register TEEX Proboard button.
Hold basic structural fire protection, aircraft rescue fire rescue, or marine fire protection certification AND instructor level I certification.
Complete a commission-approved Fire Officer I training program as outlined in Chapter 9 of the commission's Certification Curriculum Manual or document completion of the required college course listed in 451.3(B)(iii).
